Welcome to 1st Hartburn Sea Scout Group (Graham Mellanby’s Own)
Welcome to 1st Hartburn Sea Scout Group
Scouting is one of the most amazing things any child or adult can do
A Sea Scout Group provides the same activities as any other Scout Group we just do a bit more on water.
Our members start at aged 6 in Beavers, 8 in Cubs and 10½ in Scouts; our Adults start at 18 and there is no upper age limit, so you can be too young to be a Scout but never too old.
So what do we do?
Crafts, games, cooking, camping, tying knots, sailing, canoeing, walking, climbing, day trips, etc.
Why do we do this?
Well the Leaders are all volunteers and we do it because we enjoy it. It helps the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts find their way in life and lets them try things they may never get to at school or home.
Ours is a closed Group and access can only be gained by permission being granted by one of the Leaders, if members leave we revoke permissions. We post photo's, information on activities and can answer Parents questions. It is possible that some may not wish to have or want a Facebook account sadly this means we cannot accommodate everyone
This website is kindly hosted by the generosity of Simon Fall, Managing Director of Artwork Network.
